The Gearge's Dock Building is actually on The Strand, and stands just a few yards from the old Mann Island access road which is now converted into a pedestrian way.

'It's a privilege to again compere the Pier Head Ceremony. It is so important to remember those workers who have been killed, disabled, injured or made unwell by their work - and in doing so, to try to influence employers to ensure the health and safety of their workers now and in the future.'
The event includes a meeting and buffet with speakers being held this year at The Raquets Club Hotel on Chapel Street which is opposite the Mercure Liverpool Atlantic Tower Hotel just a few minutes walk from the memorial event, with Chapel Street being opposite the the Liver Buildings.
